The Fire Garden

The Fire Garden consisted of a series of interactive pieces and sculptures with a common theme of fire.

Fire Tree – Is a bundle of propane cannons surrounded by metal branches and leaves. participants could press a button to release a fireball 20ft into the air. It was one of our first attempt at a more sculptural piece with form over function. It was also used as an introduction to metal work, and pipe fitting for our volunteer builders.

Fire Flowers – Old fire extinguishers cut and welded back into the shape of flowers provided a gathering point for attendees outside of the venue.

Fire Pond – A wood clad, metal lined pond continually filling with bubbles……that are flammable. This piece was a crowd favorite, allowing participants to grab handfuls of bubbles that would burst into (relatively) small and cool balls of flame when brought near fire. Remember Stella-ella-ola as a kid? Yeah, like that but you’re passing balls of fire to the person next to you.
